Happy Friday, everyone! I often say TGIF, but my weekends are filled with work. Most of the events I sell at occur during this time. With the holidays approaching, I find myself in my space, warming oils and beeswax for salves. It’s a delightful time of year, and I’m brainstorming the best ideas for holiday-themed skincare.
The Excitement of Holiday Preparations
As I dive into this season, I’m also starting the process of creating my Halloween lotion bars. Recently, I made a body wash for myself using honey, frankincense, and lemongrass. The smell is simply divine! I got the recipe from @mellysandford, and it has quickly become a favorite.
In addition to that, I rendered some tallow. While it wasn’t a super busy day, I did run out of shea butter until Monday, so many of my projects are on hold for now. I managed to tackle some household chores, like laundry (not the most exciting task). Thankfully, my husband helps by folding the clothes—though it might take him a couple of weeks!
As I look ahead to tomorrow, I wonder what it will bring. I’ll have the house to myself. Should I decorate for Halloween, or should I focus on making more skincare products? It’s a delightful dilemma!
Sensitive Pits Whipped Deodorant Recipe
Today, I want to share a recipe for whipped deodorant. This formula is gentle and perfect for sensitive skin. You can easily swap out the essential oils to suit your preferences. Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients
51.2 g Tallow
28 g Coconut Oil
36 g Arrowroot Powder
13.4 g Zinc Oxide
1.5 g Frankincense
1 g Sandalwood
A total of 2.5 g essential oils in any scent combination you prefer
Mix these ingredients together until you achieve a smooth, whipped consistency. This deodorant is not only effective but also nourishing for your skin.
The Benefits of Natural Ingredients
Using natural ingredients in skincare is essential for maintaining healthy, radiant skin. Products free from harsh chemicals and preservatives allow your skin to breathe and thrive. By opting for natural solutions, you’re embracing a lifestyle that prioritizes purity and effectiveness.
Have you ever considered how the ingredients in your skincare products affect your skin? It’s fascinating to think about how nature provides us with everything we need for beautiful skin.
Future Plans and Halloween Ideas
Stay tuned for my next blog post! I’m excited to share what I decide to create for Halloween. I’d love to hear your suggestions. What holiday-themed skincare products would you like to see? Let’s inspire each other to make this season special!
